The problem
Cyclists who train seriously usually juggle two apps: one for the training plan and one for food. Neither knows what the other knows. How much to eat on a long ride is guesswork, and a plan rarely adapts when life gets in the way.
The idea
One app with one coach that sees training, food and recovery together. It plans the week, tells you how many grams of carbs to eat every hour on every ride, and adjusts the plan when your week changes. It works with a power meter or just a heart rate monitor.
Everything from the first screen to the App Store
iPhone app
Built with React Native and Expo, in light and dark mode, with a native Swift module for Apple Health.
AI coach
A chat coach that knows the rider’s full history. It builds training weeks, moves sessions, explains its numbers and reads photos and files.
Training and nutrition
Training plans in blocks towards a goal, fuelling per hour for every ride and daily calories that follow the plan.
Integrations
Rides and health data from Wahoo, Hammerhead, intervals.icu and Apple Health.
Backend
A Node.js API with a PostgreSQL database hosted in the EU, push notifications and subscriptions.
Website and launch
The website toppedup.cc, built for SEO and GEO so it is found in Google and AI search, and the App Store listing in English and Dutch.
